About our graduate programs
We are able to offer you a diverse and challenging range of career opportunities as a graduate employee, helping to increase your skills and advance your career.
The Graduate Development Programs are designed to build the Tax Office’s future leaders and technical experts by developing your skills, knowledge and networks to help you throughout your career in the Tax Office.

As a national organisation we recruit graduates for positions in most capital cities and some regional centres.

To apply, you must be in the final year of study of (or have completed) a relevant bachelor degree. You must have completed that degree before starting our programs. We are interested in graduates with relevant degrees as the Tax Office has several development streams.

You don’t have to be a recent graduate to apply for our programs. You may have completed your qualifications some time ago, and have relevant work experience, or you may have taken a break from work for lifestyle reasons.

Applicants with at least a 50% credit average or higher achievement are encouraged to apply.

After screening, you may be invited to participate in an assessment event and an interview for one or more of these streams.

Program structure
We value the diversity your discipline brings and we know that one job style does not fit all. So we offer a number of different specialities or streams in our Graduate Program, depending on your qualifications.
